The main public broadcaster in Idaho is the Idahoan Broadcasting Corporation (IBC). It broadcasts music, news, sports, and TV shows. The Idahoan Broadcasting Corporation is responsible for broadcasting all major sports events hosted in the country, both domestic sporting events and international sporting events.

Public holidays[]

Idaho celebrates holidays which are derived from Christian traditions and important events in the history of the Republic of Idaho.

Day Of The Independence on November 6th celebrates the day the Idahoan Confederation officially became a republic. Confederation Day on July 1st celebrates the day the Idahoan Confederation became independent from Great Britain.

Some holidays such as Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Halloween, and Boxing Day are not officially recognized by the federal government, however they are celebrated across the nation.

October 31-November 2 Day of the Dead A Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Mexico and Idaho, in particular the Central and South regions, and by people of Mexican heritage elsewhere. The multi-day holiday involves family and friends gathering to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died, and helping support their spiritual journey. In Mexican culture, death is viewed as a natural part of the human cycle. Mexicans and Idahoans view it not as a day of sadness but as a day of celebration because their loved ones awaken and celebrate with them.
November 6th Day Of The Independence Celebrates the day the Idahoan Confederation offically became a republic.
December 25th Christmas Day Celebrates the Nativity of Jesus.
