Some of the most notable nations with strong Socialist backgrounds include Russia, the United States, Assiniboia and Scandinavian Union. Socialism was created by Fredrick Engels, an avowed Atheist, to serve as different form of Communism as created by Marx. Religion was a major sticking point between the two ideas, and it's reflected in the lack of religious ideas espoused in Socialism, and which makes it more acceptable in more secular nations.
