With rise and triumphs of Romanos the Great, Emperor of Roman Empire from 1250 to 1312, Eastern Roman Empire, or restored Roman Empire was strenghtened by common and unificating ideology. This ideology was Romanism. Proud, meritocratic and on loyality based ideology with Simplified Latin as new language. However, Emperor wanted to reach universal and absolute level of loyality and understood that strongest loyality is not for Emperor but for God and what is better, for God-Emperor.
Caesaropapism, knew for many centuries in Eastern Roman Empire, was promoted to unparalleled degree.
