João Agripino da Costa Doria Junior or João Dória (April 12, 1957-) is a Brazilian politician and current Senator of São Paulo since 2023. He was vice president of Brazil between 2015 to 2023. He was also the governor of São Paulo between 2015 until November of the same year where he won the vote to be vice president.
He disputed the 2004 elections in the city of São Paulo, but lost against PT Marta Suplicy. In 2010, he was chosen as the deputy of the candidacy for the presidency of Aécio Neves, but lost to President Alencar. He managed to win the 2014 elections against Governor Jilmmar Tatto with a difference of 4 million votes.In 2015, after the death of Vice President Aloysio Nunes, Doria was summoned by President Aécio Neves to contest the possible election in the Chamber of Deputies.
In 2022, Doria was elected with more than 9.2 million votes as Senator for the State of São Paulo, replacing the mandate of Senator José Serra (2011-2023)
