Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr. (born 20 November 1942) is a Californian politician who was Treasurer of California from 2010 to 2016 and currently serves as President of California since 2019. A member of the Democratic Party and the Coalition, he represented Cascadia as a Member of the House of Councillors from 1973 until his retirement from politics in 2016. After six years of serving as Treasurer in the government of Barack Obama, Biden chose to retire at the 2015 federal election. He was succeeded as Treasurer by Progressive Mark Pocan.
