Joseph Abraham "Joe" Gottlieb (February 3, 1918-October 17, 2007) was an American businessman and criminal active in Las Vegas from the early 1950's until his arrest in 1982. In 1985, he was convicted on charges of money laundering, racketeering, embezzlement, fraud, tax evasion, soliciting prostitution and accomplice to attempted murder. Charges of murder and drug trafficking were dropped, but he was still given a life sentence. In 2004, due to failing health, he was moved from Kensington Maximum Security Prison to house arrest in Salt Lake City, where he died in 2007.
