Joseph Ratzinger (HM6)

Joseph Aloisius Ratzinger (* April 16th [Great Saturday] 1927 in Marktl, Upper Bavaria) is the Son of a Gendarmerie (police) officer and (since he has to) member of the Hitler Youth. His Grand-uncle was the Priest, member of parliament, and author Georg Ratzinger (1844–99). Since April 1937, the Family lives in Hufschlag near Traunstein. On April 16th, 1939 he joined the erzbischöfliches Studienseminar (training college of the archbishopry) Saint Michael in Traunstein.
