Just another timeline is simply another timeline where things will happen differently. Well, that's an overstaying welcome, so otherwise: Welcome to Just another timeline, a timeline where the world is different.
I just want to mention that this is not a Just a Different Timeline, even though the timelines have almost the same names, each one has a different story. And yes, as you may have noticed, the timeline will change.
Rules[]
Even Just another timeline has rules. If you break these rules, you will no longer be able to join the timeline, so please read this:
- Please respect everyone, regardless of gender, sexuality, etc.
- Before making a page or any edit on Just another timeline pages, please first join the Discord server or write to me on the talk page (already mentioned in contributors).
- In this timeline, the climate and geography is the same as in OTL, so no changes like adding a new island or changing the climate.

Banned people[]
Some people may not have access to Just another timeline because of unauthorized edits on this timeline or controversial things they have done in other timelines.
- Eggo: Eggo, although he was fine before, started behaving like an asshole in mid-August when he wrote to one person fuck you just because that person showed a parody poster of the movie Up on the Differently: Done Differently server. We gave Eggo a warning after this, but he then left the server, later started saying that trans people don't exist or that god didn't make a mistake, which got him banned from contributing to An Honorable Retelling. Later, Eggo started making alt accounts to rejoin the Differently: Done Differently server and, just like on Discord, he also made alt accounts on Wiki Fandom where he made unauthorized edits on the Differently: Done Differently page. On 2 October 2023, he made a large unauthorized edit to the main page of An Honorable Retelling, for which he received a one-month ban. Eggo also said trans rights are a Nazi agenda. On 22 October 2023, he joined the Just another timeline server where he again argued that he was spreading the words of God, that trans people do not exist or that trans people are mentally ill. Of course, he got banned on the server for this. Eggo's ban on this timeline will never be lifted. On 31 October 2023 Eggo made attempts to join What a Wonderful World but was immediately kicked. Czechia wrote to Eggo to which Eggo called all people who disagreed with him Hitler lovers. On 21 November 2023, Eggo made unauthorized edits to both this page and An Honorable Retelling and Differently through an alternate account, for which Eggo was permanently banned.
- Jayden: Jayden has already done some controversial things like making fun of LGBT people (specifically from Threads of Fate Discord server: Bro, the LGBTQ+ Community is from Ohio, ok? We gotta run), threatening to commit suicide, lying and even made a page on Conworlds where my friend Rosie died.
- Adrian teron: Adrian teron is transphobic.
- Mati: He made unauthorized edits and was annoying on the servers because he send special documents and he wanted people to open them and when they asked what it was, he kept telling them to open it.
- Testingdummynumber55: I already have a history with Testing as we both worked on Revamped which was created on 1 October 2022 and work continued until the disputes in mid-March 2023. Even though he is aware of the error in Revamped, I don't want him to join Just another timeline. Other reasons why he got banned are his weird opinions.
- Imperator: Imperator made unauthorized edits in An Honorable Retelling.
- Al Timotheus: Timothy was (or still is) a contributor to the original Differently and is known for page twerking, but he is controversial because of his page about alternative self where he wrote something disgusting in Personal life. Sometimes he also makes unauthorized edits in other timelines.
- MonitorAnimate: MonitorAnimate made unauthorized edits in both Just another timeline and An Honorable Retelling, so I wrote to him that if he is interested in contributing to An Honorable Retelling, he should join the Discord server, but he never joined or wrote to me on my talk page.
- Susamogus123124124124124124124: This user is an example of a typical angry tankie. Other reasons for his ban are his support for Mao Zedong and his opinion that Mao should have killed more people so that there would be no more revisionists.
- Generated Narukami: This user was previously banned for what he said about the Nanjing Massacre. Now he got banned due to non-normal discussions.
- Flabby cheeks for life: This user got banned for posting NSFW gifs on An Honorable Retelling server.
- TheRealTaxiDriver: Taxi got banned for his weird discussions on An Honorable Retelling server.
- TheBestBolt: On An Honorable Retelling, Bolt asked Rosie if she had genitals.
- Abbyspidey06: Abby makes unauthorized edits even though people have written to him to stop it.
Timeline[]
Middle Ages (717 - 1492)[]
- 1071: Rhomania (Eastern Roman Empire) successfully defeats the Seljuks at the Battle of Manzikert, preventing the Seljuks from gaining power in Anatolia.
- 1204: Rhomania successfully defeats the Crusaders at the Battle of Constantinople, making Rhomania less affected by the Fourth Crusade.
- 1205: The Laskaris successfully overthrow the Angelos family, bringing Constantine Laskaris to power.
- 1396: As the Ottoman Empire does not exist in this timeline, the Second Bulgarian Empire was not disbanded and will continue to exist and later become one of the European Powers.
Early Modern Age (1492 - 1789)[]
- 1526: As the Ottoman Empire was not created, the Battle of Mohács did not take place. However, Louis still dies without an heir, which leads to the Habsburgs coming to power in Bohemia and Hungary.
- 1569: The Desmond Rebellion escalates into the Irish War of Independence, which ends in 1575 with an Irish victory.
- 1620: Bohemia won the Battle of White Mountain, which prevented the Habsburgs from returning to power and the Czech Confederation was not abolished.
- 1635: The battles between Northern Yuan and Later Jin end in a stalemate, with Northern Yuan still existing.
- 1644: The Qing Dynasty fails to gain control of the Ming Dynasty leaving the Aisin-Gioro ruling only Manchuria while China is still ruled by the Zhu.
- 1770: La Louisiane declares independence after the War of Louisianian Independence.
Late Modern Age (1789 - 1914)[]
- 1813: Napoleon accepts the Frankfurt proposals, thus remaining in power.
- 1814: Norway becomes independent in the Treaty of Kiel rather than being part of Sweden.
- 1830: An uprising begins in Flanders, which begins the Flemish Revolution, which ends in 1831 with the victory of the rebels, which creates the Kingdom of Flanders, and Prince Leopold of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha becomes the first monarch. France did not recognize the independence of Flanders until 1839.
- 1867: There was never an Austro-Prussian War and instead in 1867 there were German Wars for a unified Germany between Bavaria, Hanover and Prussia which ended in 1868 with the creation of three German states.
- 1881: Alexander II survived the assassination, so the reforms in Russia did not end, and later in 1883 the constitution came into force, making Russia a constitutional monarchy. Even though Russia is better off than in OTL, it will still have some trouble during World War I (not quite the same as in OTL) and a civil war will also break out (although the monarchy will not be abolished) but the civil war will end in a stalemate with European Russia being controlled by the Bolsheviks while the rest Russia is controlled by the government of the Russian Empire.
World wars (1914 - 1944)[]
- 1914: The heir to the Bulgarian throne, Boril, is assassinated by a Serbian nationalist leading to the beginning of an OTL-like crisis that eventually leads to the outbreak of World War I.
- 1918:
- The end of World War I with the victory of the Allies.
- The monarchy in East Germany is abolished, creating a republic.
- 1919:
- The monarchy in Bulgaria is abolished, creating the Republic of Bulgaria.
- The Spartacist uprising is successful, creating the German Socialist Republic.
- 1921: Intermarium is formed between Poland, Lithuania, Belarus and Ukraine.
- 1924: In Bulgaria there is a coup led by the National Izdigamist Party (Izdigamism is like OTL Fascism) and the Bulgarian National State is declared.

Original attempts to create a timeline, Revamped and Differently spin-offs[]

I've been active on Althistory Wiki since September 2022, and already in October I thought of creating my own timeline. Sometime in November until December I was working on a timeline that was going to be called The Wittelsbachs on the Czech throne, which was going to start with the Kingdom of Bohemia winning the Battle of White Mountain, and after that battle there were going to be other changes, like there wouldn't be a Soviet union, but there would be a Far Eastern Republic and so on. Although the idea was interesting, I had to shelve it. Later in December, I worked on another timeline that was supposed to be called Prague Spring, which was supposed to be about the fact that the occupation of Czechoslovakia never happened. Just as the idea was born, I quickly scrapped it. From December 2022 to January 2023, I started working on another timeline that was untitled, but I had already created a Discord server for it.

From October 2022 to March 2023 I was a contributor and later (more or less) one of the bosses of Revamped, although few pages were created, there were quite a lot of ideas on the server, but due to disputes in mid-March, all work in Revamped ended. On April 6th, I created a timeline called Byzantium remains a republic, which was more of a spin-off of Differently, which was about the Varangian troops losing the Varangian Rebellion. I got the idea for this spin-off timeline thanks to Rosie, who created the Forever Together, but those spin-offs ended after the situation in Differently and the creation of An Honorable Retelling and Differently: Done Differently in May (see The Origin in Differently: Done Differently and A Tale of Two Timelines- How An Honorable Retelling came to be).
Just another timeline[]
Here are three maps of Europe from each of my planned timelines. On the left is map from The Wittelsbachs on the Czech throne, in the middle is a map from an untitled timeline, and on the right is the original map of Europe from Just another timeline that was used before the change in June 2023.
Sometime after creation of Byzantium remains a republic, I started working on a new timeline, which was Just another timeline, which previously had the working name Oh Gott, if I'm not mistaken, the name is from French and was supposed to be a reference to France, which would still be a monarchy under the House of Orléans. However I didn't like the name and I started thinking about another one and I remembered the name Just another timeline which I think is a funny name for a timeline so I used it. On April 15th I created a page Just another timeline and even though it seems like it ends here, it doesn't, previously Just another timeline should have been different, it should have just started in the 1840s and there were even other point of divergence such as: Independent Lusatia, South German Confederation, Soviet Civil War and so on. On June 12th I was thinking about changing Just another timeline and decided to use some concepts from my planned timelines and some concepts from Revamped into Just another timeline. For me, October to November 2023 is the period when Just another timeline was generally completed with the story. As of March 2024, I'm thinking about merging this timeline with my other timelines. It is possible that soon the work on Just another timeline will start again, but there will be changes.
Spin-off[]

During the beginning of Just another timeline, I didn't plan any spin-offs because I thought it was unnecessary at the beginning, and moreover, I previously created spin-offs for An Honorable Retelling (more precisely Gagner la guerre) and Differently (the already mentioned Byzantium remains a republic) which did not last long. However, sometime in October, out of boredom, I made a world map from Just another timeline if the Grand Alliance won World War I, which gave me the idea of a possible spin-off. On 19 November, I thought that maybe on 15 April 2024, on the first anniversary of Just another timeline, I would create a spin-off. On 27 November, I created a map of Europe if the Grand Alliance had won the First World War. On 28 November, I showed an image referencing the spin-off on several servers and Althistory Wiki discussions. Originally, I wanted to announce the spin-off on the first anniversary of Just another timeline (15 April 2024), but I decided to do it on the new year, 1 January. This spin-off is not finished yet and I expect the spin-off to be completely finished by 15 April. I don't know what will happen with the spin-off due to the changes to Just another timeline.
