Karl Walter Claus Carstens (* December 14th, 1914 in Bremen), with a Ph.D. of Laws, is a Soldier of the anti-air (Flak) artillery. He never met his father, because he fell in the First World War. Since 1934, he's a Member of the SA; he managed to procrastinate joining the NSDAP.
