Keith Rodney Starmer (born 2 September 1962) is a Novanglian professional football manager, former goalkeeper, and broadcaster. Currently Starmer is the manager of the Novanglian national men's team. As manager Starmer has lead the team to a IFF World Cup victory in 2022 and a victory in the 2024 [Untitled American Tournament]. Starmer's dominance as manager is known colloquially as Starmageddon.
Starmer was born in 1962 to a working class family. In his biography, "How to be a Footballer", he revealed that he was scouted out after playing street football with his friends after school. He was accepted into the academy for Wallace Town who play in the second division of the Novanglian football pyramid. Whilst at the academy Hawkinsville City attempted to convince Starmer to join their academy but Starmer declined citing his desire to stay with his family.
Starmer made his debut appearance in 1980 during a NFO Cup match against Francis United. Starmer during the match gained his first clean sheet and was credited as one of the matches best players. Starmer would stay with Wallace Town for 2 more years achieving promotion to first division. Starmer then was signed to Novanglian Union of Tertiary Strikers (NUTS) for £200,000. Starmer was the leagues best goalkeeper in 1983, 1985, and 1986 respectively. In 1985, Starmer was first put into the Novanglian national team roster but didn't make his debut in international football until 1987. In 1986 Starmer signed to the Henrylandic club, Armoury, for £1,450,000. In his first season with the club Starmer made 5 appearances all times being subbed on. This prompted Starmer to request being put on loan which was granted. Fort Lee United signed Starmer on loan for one season. Following the season Starmer returned to Armoury being put in the starting XI. [WIP]
