Kentucky is a landlocked state in the central United States. It borders Indiana and Ohio to the north, Winfield to the east, Illinois and Missouri to the west, and the Confederate States to the south. Its capital is Frankfort and its largest city is Louisville. It was admitted to the union on June 1, 1792.
