In Kenya it's still peaceful despite of ongoing World War II. The country under Sir Henry Monck-Mason Moore is defended by the King's African Rifles, which have a strength of yet only about 30,000 Men - for all of British East Africa.
When Italy declared war in June 1940, its troops were able to advance 100 km into Kenyan territory. The bombing of the air base at Wajir was the first action of the East African Campaign, in fact.
