England, officially the Kingdom of England and sometimes referred to as the United Kingdom, is a country in Western Europe Europe. To the North it borders Scotland. To the West it borders Wales and the Atlantic Sea and to the East it borders the North Sea. The modern reminiscent of the old British Empire, England was historically one of the most powerful and educated nations in the world. Its plenty of historical sights, including decorated churches such as the English Gothic architecture. England is considered the cultural bridge between Scotland and Wales. The modern state of England dates back to 1938, when the British empire was abolished and the current Kingdom was established.
