Kurdistan (Kurdish: Kurdan), officially the Kurdish Empire (Kurdish: Împaratoriya Kurdan), is a country in West Asia. It is bordered by Persia to the south, Rhomania to the northwest, and Armenia to the northeast. The capital city is Bitlis.

The Kurdish Empire was formed after the Kurdish rebellion of 510-512 by Afran I. After the Rhomanian-Kurdish War, in which Kurdistan won, Kurdistan was neutral for a long time until the establishment of the Socialist Republic of Persia, which affected Kurdistan in general, and already in 1925, a constitution was adopted, from which Kurdistan became a constitutional monarchy and began to work more closely with the surrounding world. During the Fourth Great War, Kurdistan was neutral, but in the Cold War, it was on the side of the United States. From 1980 to 1995, there were pro-German insurgencies in Kurdistan.

Kurdistan is a unitary parliamentary constitutional monarchy and a developed country. Kurdistan is a member of the League to Enforce Peace and the Global Treaty Organization.
