The Legislative Yuan is the lower house of the National Assembly of the Federal Republic of China, according to the Constitution of China (1993). It was preceded by the unicameral National People's Congress in the mainland.
The Legislative Yuan is composed of 2,670 members, who are directly elected for 4-year terms by people of the Mainland China through a parallel voting system.
