Grand Duke Leopold III (Henry Wilhelm Heinrich Leopold; born on 7 March 1957), is the current reigning grand duke of Flanders after his father’s death in 2013.
Since his ascension to the throne, he has pioneered a ”Modern Monarchy”, which began with enabling absolute primogeniture in 2013. This put his two daughters, Elise and Diana second and third in line for the throne, respectively. His second son George was therefore reduced from second to fourth in line.
