This is a list of Cygnian state and territorial legislatures. Each state has a legislature as part of its form of civil government. Most of the fundamental details of the legislature are specified in the state constitution. Most state legislatures are unicameral, with only seven (Auralia, Avon, Carolina, North Albion, Pilbara, South Albion and Tasmania) possessing an upper house. All seven of these upper houses are known as Legislative Councils, while a variety of names (Legislative Assembly, House of Assembly or Parliament) are used to refer to the twenty-one state lower houses. Cygnia also has one federal territory and four external territories with local legislative branches, which are also listed below. All of these bodies are also unicameral.
Note: Coalition governments whose member parties do not singularly have a majority are categorised here as parliamentary majorities under the senior party. Major state-level parties other than Labour and National all have associated statuses with one of the two major federal parties, and are thus included here in the Labour or National count.
↑Unicameral since 2013 after the adoption of Fiji's 2013 constitution. The bicameral Parliament was abolished along with the upper Legislative Council.
