Christinos Dynasty (408-499)

In 404 a wealthy Christian merchant name Andronikus staged a coup in Egypt and sparked a civil war which he won in 408.

Under the Byzantines (499-1099)

After the Christinos Dynasty died out the Byzantine took control and did so for a long time. They signed a 600 year agreement to be released in 1099.

Sforza Dynasty (1407-

After a diplomatic failure with France a war broke out, the French bought the aide of the Italian Condottiero Francesco Sforza but during the war the French claimant, the Frenchs nobles decided to support Francesco as King of Egypt. This lead to Byzantine Emperor Manuel II to recognize the Sforza in exchange for Cyprus.
