This is a list of Emperors of Haiti since the country's independence in 1804. Until 1855, the country was ruled by the Dessalines dynasty, which had been started by Jacques I, the first Haitian emperor. In 1855, Faustin I died without issue, ending the Dessalines line. The throne was then given to the then-Prime-Minister Félix Cyprès, who started the Cyprès dynasty, which still rules Haiti these days.
