The German Chancellor (Kanzler) is the Head of State of Germany. The Office of the Chancellery has lost much of its power, especially in the Hitler years. The chancellor is referred to as Herr Kanzler, Kanzler Hindenburg (or any last name) or Herr Kanzler Hindenburg (or any last name).
