Egypt has been ruled by monarchs for over 5,000 years, since the Foundation of the Kingdom of Lower Egypt in 3533 b.c. The modern monarchy traces its origins to 3150 b.c. when Narmer I first united Egypt into a single Kingdom, which was a Theocratic absolute monarchy between 3150 b.c. to 1524 a.d. until Senusret VIII promulgated the current constitution, it remains in place to this day the biggest alteration happened when Egypt became a Federal state in 1865 a.d.
The current pharaoh, Sihathor IV, is the 1035th Pharaoh of Egypt since Hapu I, member of the 44th major egyptian dynasty, in total Egypt has had 102 dynasties.
Despite being a Constitutional Monarchy, the Pharaoh retains some powers despite not getting much involved in the politics of government. Instead, the Pharaoh focuses on improving the lives of his subjects and strengthening diplomatic ties with neighboring nations, they generally lead their armies to war (The most recent case of this was in 2011 by Tutankhamun VI), they also serve to remind their people of their grand history, the current King is a direct male descendant of the first Pharaoh Narmer, the ruling monarch is considered a god on Earth, the Royal cult and the cult of the royal ancestors are practiced by over 90% of the population, The pharaoh retains a certain amount of constitutional powers:
- Perform Religious Duties
- maintain relations with foreign States and to accredit their diplomatic representatives;
- decree and enforce federal intervention, in accordance with the constitutional procedures that precede and authorize such exceptional action;
- upon the opening of the legislative session, send a government message and plan to the Parliament, describing the state of the nation and requesting the actions he deems necessary;
- grant pardons and reduce sentences, after hearing the entities instituted by law, if necessary
- Declare War or Peace
- Build public infrastructure
- exercise the supreme command of the armed forces, appoint the commanders of navy, army and air force, promote general officers and to appoint them to the offices held exclusively by them
- dissolve parliament and dismiss members of parliament if found guilty of a crime
- represent Egypt in foreign relations and international conventions
- call referendums
- Declare State of Emergency
- Be consulted in the making of policies

Classical Kingdom 30 BC. - 193 AD.[]
XXXIV Dynasty (Kamosian); Descendants of the Thutmosids they ruled as Nomarchs in the south of Egypt, through the centuries they ruled the province of Elephantine until in 250 B.C. the ruling Nomarch decided it was necessary for his family to retake the throne to keep the Narmerian bloodline free of danger, memory of the massacres of 400 b.c. and 338 b.c. when Amunirdisu III and Artaxerxes III attempted to extinct the ancient bloodline was still fresh in the memory,they almolst succeded but ultimately failing (in the case of Amunirdisu III this was one of many things that led to his deposition), his dynasty spent centuries accumulating wealth hiding tons of gold in temple to Thutmose IV for this purpose until Ahmose IV decided to act and started his rebellion in 37 B.C. originally starting slow the rebellion took force when the native Egyptian population joined in, and when the future Emperor Augustus allied with him. Despite his rhetoric Ahmose was remarkably merciful, when he took Memphis he pardoned everyone, and when he reached Alexandria in late 31 b.c he spared the Ptolomaic royal family Cleopatra VIII and Mark Anthony both committed suicide, but their children were protected and adopted by the new Pharaoh he hid Caesarion and gave him a new name, stating he was killed during the invasion, while putting out the story he was the orphan of a poor Greek family. All royal successors are his descendants to this day.

XLIII Dynasty (Nebirionic); Despite Nebiriau VII being founder the dynasty many consider Senusret VIII the true founder for two reasons the first being it was his blood reunited the two rival branches of the royal family, and the second being the monarch's enduring popularity.
XLIV Dynasty (Tutankhamunian); Formed by the firstborn son of the first marriage of Twosret V to Prince Consort Tutankhamun son of Amenhotep son of the ninth Senusret, who died in 1686 from wounds in the battlefield, the second marriage of queen Twosret V in 1690 to another cousin led to the birth of 4 more sons and a daughter, her final pregnancy led to her death in childbirth, the newborn, another son, was born with the left arm disabled.
