This is a list of presidents of Brazil, the title of head of state and head of government of the Brazil and the highest political office in the countries for influence and recognitions. The president leads the executive branch of the federal government and one of only two elected members of the executive branch (the other is the vice president). This list goes back to the redemocratization of Brazil in 1985.
The president is directly elected by popular vote, for a term of four years, with a limit of two consecutive terms imposed by the Constitution of 1988, ratified in 1988. Upon the death, resignation or removal from office of an incumbent president, the vice president president takes office.
The current president is Eduardo Leite, in office since March 25, 2023.
