The President of Soviet Union (Russian: Президент Советского Союза), officially the President of the President of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (Russian: Президент Союза Советских Социалистических Республик), is a title that is borne by the Head of State in the Soviet Union.
The presidency is the highest role, preceding the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet, is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Soviet Army.
