Seal of the President of the United States.svg

This is the List of Presidents of the United States in the FDRs Two Term Presidency Timeline. The President of the United States is the head of state and the head of government of the United States. As chief of the executive branch and head of the federal government as a whole, the Presidency is the highest political official position in the United States by influence and recognition.

The President is also the Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. armed forces. The President is indirectly elected to a four year term by an Electoral College. Similar to the 22'nd Amendment in our timeline, President George Washington proposed an Amendment to Congress to be added to the Bill of Rights in his last year as President that would limit a President to only serve two terms as President. Congress told Washington that they would approve the amendment, but the term limit must be raised to four terms.

Washington and Congress would both meet in the middle with each President only be allowed to serve 3 terms in office and the Amendment would be added to the Bill of Rights as the 11th Amendment in February 1794, which only two Presidents have been able to elected to serve three terms, those being Theodore Roosevelt from 1901-1913 and George W. Bush from 2001-2013. The Amendment would be renamed three times, the first being the Three Term Amendment in 1867 under President Lincoln, the Roosevelt Amendment under President Hughes in 1919, and finally its current name, the Bush Amendment under President McCain in 2016. They would also declare in any Presidents under the 25th Amendment (Fillmore, Arthur, etc...) would not have any of the first 4 years as President held against them and they were allowed to run in three separate elections

  • Rogers is currently on his first term set on expire on January 20, 2025, and has confirmed to run to the 2024 Presidential Election in the Neighborhood Party.
  • From 1938-1945, the Axis Powers still used the traditional role of the Presidency.
  • When President Reagan started his first term in January 1985, he would start the ongoing chain of Republican President that is still going on today with Incumbent President Fred Rogers. This is the third time in history a Republican chain like this has happened, with the first being from the Inauguration of President Fremont in March 1857 to the Inauguration of President Cleveland's first term in March 1885, and the second being from the Inauguration of President McKinley in March 1897 to the Inauguration of President Franklin Roosevelt's first term in March 1933.
