This page lists every President of the United Western States of America.
The President of the Western States is the head of state and head of government of the Western States of America. The President leads the executive branch of the Western States government and commands its armed forces. While it is heavily based on the office of the President of the United States, there are some notable differences, such in how the position is elected. WS Presidents serve terms of only three years and are elected by a 2-round direct national popular vote, with a runoff election occurring only if no candidate receives at least 50% of the initial vote.
The President can be recalled and replaced in a recall election, which is activated either if one-sixth of the voting eligible population signs a recall petition, or if at least 5% signs and the Supreme Court rules that the president has committed a high crime or misdemeanor. The public votes on recall and a replacement candidate on the same ballot. If the president is recalled, then the replacement candidate with the most votes, regardless if it is a majority, immediately becomes president.
