The Prince-Elector of the Kingdom of Württemberg (German: Kurfürst von Kurfürstentum Württemberg) is the head of state and government of the Electorate of Württemberg. Until 1519, the leader of the country was the Duke; after the beginning of the Reformation and the conversion of the Duke to Evangelicalism, Württemberg left the Holy Roman Empire and elevated itself to the status of a Kingdom. The Duke at the time, Ulrich I, thus became the first King. After rejoining the Empire under threat of invasion in 1522, Ulrich became the first Elector. Since 1522 the Electors of Württemberg have also been Arch-Treasurers of the Empire.
In the history of the Kingdom, there has been 1 Elector, Ulrich I. His heir apparent is his son, Christoph, who is titled Electoral Prince of Württemberg.
