Lothar-Günther Buchheim (* February 6th, 1918 in Weimar) is a Man who's not necessarily the kind the Nazis prefer: Grown up with a single Mother; called a „painting Wunderkind“ from very early on and already worked for newspapers, magazines and collective exhibitions; moved to Italy in 1937, where he wrote his yet unpublished Book Tage und Nächte steigen aus dem Strom ("Days and nights rise from the river. A journey on the Danube") about a canoe trip on the Danube; and studied arts after his return to Nazi Germany. But he's also quite interested in the Kriegsmarine...
