Luna Sophia Courtney York (born December 9, 2002) is an English-American actress, Screener and transgender rights activist. On Screeno, she mainly uploads makeup tutorials.
Born in Brighton, England, York moved to Los Angeles with her family as a child. She began acting not too long after, portraying a very young fan in the Nirvana biopic Come As You Are, in 2006. After taking part in smaller theater roles at her school, York rose to prominence portraying Lucy Fox, the transgender daughter of bar owner William Fox on the ABC soap opera Likewise, in 2012. Her role in the episode "Who" won a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Individual Episode.`
York's breakthrough role was as Lola Wynter in the teen drama film Boys Don't Know (2019), for which her performance received critical praise. After finishing school in 2021, she pursued a full-time career in acting, going on to star in the romantic comedy film Trans Girls Who Love Girls and the slasher film X (both 2022). She has also starred in minor roles in several biographical drama films: Dwyer's Last Stand, Champagne Supernova (both 2019), Bliss: The Wolfgang Oppenheimer Story and Wonderboy (both 2023). In 2022, she began starring as Wednesday Addams in the Blockbuster horror comedy series Wednesday, for which she received nominations at the Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Awards.
