Manchukuo Yuan (ISO code: MNY) is the official currency of Manchukuo, introduced in June 1932. Initially controlled by the Central Bank of Manchou from 1932 to 1945, and later by the Bank of Manchukuo from 1945.
Banknotes[]
First Series[]
The first series of this currency consisted of coins of 5 li, 1, 5 fen, 1 jiao, and banknotes of 1, 5, 10, 100, 1000 yuan. This series operated from 1932 to 1952, later replaced by the Second Series.
Second Series[]
The Second Series of coins and banknotes changed format from 1952, when the fen and yuan were re-introduced, and the others were abolished. Coins changed to: 1, 5, 10, 20, 50 fen, and banknotes 1, 5, 10, 20, 100, 200, and 1000 yuan.
