Manchuria is a large, populous nation located in northeastern Asia. It was founded in 1932 by the Japanese as a puppet state called Manchukuo after seizing Manchuria from China. After World War II, the nation was conquered by Russian forces. With tensions high with China, Russia refused to hand over Manchuria and re-established it as a puppet state of Russia, a single party Unitarian state. Following the collapse of Russia in 2003, Manchuria became a democracy with open elections. Unlike the re-unification in Germany, Manchuria refused to reunite with China due to its dictatorship and instability. China states the territory is rightfully theirs. In recent years, Manchuria has fallen under the sway of the United States.
