(March 25? 1746-December 5, 1796) Wife of James Roberts (later revealed to be James Maria Robert Stuart) and first Queen of the United States of America. Born in Pennsylvania to Alexander Craighead (a prominent Presbyterian minister) and his wife Agnes. The family migrated to Virginia and later to Mecklenburg County North Carolina. Mary and James were married in 1767. Mother to four children: James Stuart (stillborn 1769), Maria Agnes Stuart Madison (August 20, 1771-November 1, 1855), Alexander Robert (July 4, 1776-February 22, 1836), George Washington (January 5, 1783-January 10, 1836).
