Micronesia (officially the State of Micronesia) is a U.S. State located in the Southwest Pacific Ocean. It is the most widespread state in the Union, spanning from the Marianas Archipelago to the Marshall Islands. The state shares similarities in terms of geography with the three states of the Philippines (Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao), Hawaii, and the Bahamas. The state capital is Saipan, located in Saipan Island of the Northern Marianas.
The state is one of the most diverse states, composed of different ethnicities coming from nearby states as well as immigrants from neighboring island countries. It is also the state where a variety of different languages are spoken.
Micronesia is not an urbanized and is at most least developed compared to other states due to the widespread distribution of the island.
