Maurice Robert "Mike" Gravel (May 13, 1930 – June 26, 2021) was an American politician and soldier who served as Governor of Winfield from 1969 to 1977 and as a delegate to the U.S. House of Representatives from 1987 to 2019. Gravel was a three times presidential candidate, a lifelong advocate for Winfield statehood and a known critic of presidential administrations, Unionists and Progressives, for their neglect of Winfield and the people of Winfield.
