Mongolia Bank (Chinese: 蒙古銀行, Ménggǔ yínháng) is a regional financial service and commercial bank serving the territories of the autonomous Khaganate of Mongolia within China with a branch in Kalmykia in Russia. It is Mongolia's first "indigenous bank" and its largest, competing with the North China Bank (to which it was formerly part of), which is northern China's largest bank, and is the 4th-largest banking institution in northern China.
Mongolia Bank was founded by Mù Yáng Hàoyú (real name, Boris Semyonov, an ethnic Buryat), Xiǎo Zhìpéng (real name Altankhuyag Ganbaatar), Hàoyú Tiánguō, and Ivan Shěnzhōng. It was originally found as a subsidiary of the Russian bank Royal Siberia Finance Corps. In the 1980s, as China started to bloom to economic superpowerdom, Mongolia Bank was purchased by the North China Bank and in 2003, split and became an independent financial institution. In 2004, Mongolia Bank started to offer services in the local native Mongolian, and in 2015, opened the first Russian branch in Kalmykia.
