Mordovia (Mordvinic/Russian: Мордовия) is a republic of the Union of Soviet Sovereign Republics located in Eastern Europe. The republic is dominated by the Mordvins, who are a group of two Uralic-speaking peoples (the Erzyas and the Mokshas). The capital of Mordovia is Saransk.
