The National Awakening Movement (Vietnamese: Phong trào Quốc gia Thức tỉnh), known in Vietnam as the Phong Trào or PT, is a left-liberal, centrist, nominally socially democratic political party in Vietnam that currently leads the governing coalition known as the Sunflower Coalition due to the colors of its three members. The PT's leader, Ngo Bao Chau, has been Prime Minister of Vietnam since 2014. The party, which was not restricted from participation in politics by the VQDD, served as the main democratic opposition to the ruling party during the 2000s and was one of the "spearpoints" of the Sunflower Revolution that overthrew the VQDD in April of 2012.
