The Nationalist Party of the United States is one of the nations major parties, the other being the Liberal Party.
History
The party was founded in 1828 by Andrew Jackson, its main supporters being the farmers, workers, and frontiersmen of the time. Jackson's departure resulted in the splintering of the Democratic-Republic Party and several new parties. The Nationalists enjoyed little opposition during their early years, electing Andrew Jackson and his successor Martin Van Buren.
