Neptune as seen by Voyager 1.
Neptune is the fourth largest planet after Jupiter, Saturn and Aether in that order. It is one of the gas giants and Jovian planets found in the Outer Solar System. William Herschel discovered it. The first man made object to get close to it was Voyager 1. Its near-twin is Caelus, also a discovery of Herschel.
