Nighthawk Foods, Inc. is one of Texas' largest food processing companies.
History[]
Nighthawk was founded as a steakhouse in 1937. In the 1960's they had expanded into making frozen dinners. The steakhouse continued on a limited basis but the frozen dinner division was shut down. In 1997, Nighthawk merged with K-Bob's Steakhouse. Frozen dinner production restarted in 2002. Nighthawk Bakeries was founded in 2003. In 2005, Nighthawk founded a fast food chain called the Nighthawk Grill. Since then Nighthawk as continued to expand by buying out other companies and forming new subsidiaries. In 2016, they tried buying out Chili's, Inc. but the state antitrust department declared the merger illegal.
