A Short History of History[]
Occitania was established by the Occitani people. The Occitani escaped over and into the Pyrenees Mountains into Hispania. They were native to Aquitania, but became refugees after the Frankish Revolution and the militarism of the Aquitanian Governors after that defeat. They moved into the northern areas of Hispania and quickly outnumbered the native population. As the whole of the Province of Hispania was being torn apart, the Occitani took their chances and became an Imperial Province under the Emperor Sergius in the year 1216 (463 A). Being a more docile people the Occitani were allowed more freedom than the other states but they were still controlled directly by the Emperor Sergius.
