The Commonwealth of Oceania, also known as the Oceanic Commonwealth , is a state that encompasses most of Oceania and also consists of parts of Antarctica.

The CO has an total economy of 1.5 Trillion, and is a founding member of the ILS

After the War of 1989, communications between Australia and The UK were lost. After three years of a provisional government, Australia declared independence.

In a famous speech delivered by Paul Keating (the-then Prime Minister of Australia) at the Oceanic Conference of 1993, he said the following.

”In this Time of Uncertainty, We must unite as a continent. We must become a leader on the world stage. We are stronger together. I propose a Oceanic Commonwealth. Oceania, We can be the Strongest Nation in the world, but only if we unite. Thank you.”

In the conference, the following nations voted to join the commonwealth.

• New Zealand
• Micronesia
• Soloman Islands
• Fiji
• Papua New Guinea
• Tuvavu
• Cook Islands
• Niue

The Following Nations voted to not join, and so remained independent.

• Palau
• Kiribati
• Marshall Islands
• Nauru
• Tonga
• Samoa
• Indonesia

Governmental Organisation

The Government of the OC consists of a parliament, led by the Prime Minister, and a President, who is head of state for all the territories of the commonwealth.

Each nation inside the commonwealth has a First Minister, similar to the US’ Governors.

To become the President or the Prime Minister, a person must be born in a territory of the Oceanic Commonwealth.

To become a First Minister, a person must be born within the Nation that they are running for. (E.G: The First Minister of Australia must be born in Australia, and so on.)
