Point of Divergences[]
- The North Pole has a landmass, instead of just icecaps. Greenland is fully inhabited and the landmasses on the North Pole's coasts are inhabited by colonialists. However, the land around the North Pole remains icy and nearly impossible to reach.
- The South Pole's temperatures are higher, letting vegetation and life to thrive on Antarctica's coast. Similar to the North Pole, the South Pole has an icy layer of snow caps all over the South Pole.
- Leif Eriksson discovered "Vinland", and formed a colony there. Vinland goes on to become a vast empire in its own right.
- The Angevin Empire conquers and annexes Northern France, ending the 100 Years War. However, France continues to exist as a nation in the south until the French Reconquest in 1565 which brings an end to English rule. Due to this, English is a widely-spoken language in Northern France.
- The Ming Dynasty continues to explore, which allows the continuation of the Majapahit Empire and the Empire of Borneo. The Ming Dynasty establishes a trans-Pacific colony near San Francisco called Jin Guo (Golden Land). This impacts the language and culture of California, as Chinese becomes a spoken language throughout the West Coast.
- The Portuguese colonies in South America are divided into three different colonies which end up developing distinct cultures of their own, both incorporating Portuguese and native ideas. The three colonies become independent nations in the 19th century, thus forming the modern states of Bahia, Amazonia, and São Paulo.
- The French do not sell Louisiana and use it to their full advantage, leading to the Bourbon Dynasty fleeing France during the French Revolution and installing the Kingdom of Louisiana. Manifest Destiny becomes an obsolete idea.
- The Mexican-British War breaks out, resulting in the formation of the Republic of Texas, a large republic bordering the Rio de la Grande river and the Crown Colony of California, a British colony. California later gains independence following a 2000 referendum.
- The Quebecois people secede from the vast Kingdom of Louisiana, forming the Republic of Quebec.

- In Italy, the monarchy is also abolished and the Italian Social Empire is established.
- After the defeat of the Axis in WWII, Germany is divided into Hanover, Bavaria, Konigsberg, and Prussia. Italy is divided into Padania, the Holy See, and Naples. Spain is divided into Galicia (who later joins Portugal to form Lusitania), Castile, Basque, Aragon, and Andalusia. Japan is divided into North Japan and South Japan, one the few north-south split that still exists today.
