This is a "live" timeline, which means that its story continues to unfold NOW, in real-time. See the Tuguray News article for the latest news and updates.

Rules

• No alternate geographies such as green Sahara or Scandinavian deserts are allowed, but alternate fauna and flora are permitted (see vaquita and ground sloth for example).
  • Artificially alternate geography is permitted.
  • Regarding alternate fauna, Mesozoic and Paleozoic (Carboniferous and Permian, to be specific) creatures surviving to Holocene (meaning now) is permitted, but Ediacaran or earlier — aren't.

PoDs

The timeline has many point of divergences, but here are the most prominent ones:

1. Some pre-Roman tribes survive and persist ITTL.
2. 1259 — The Mongol Empire still collapses but keeps its core regions and survives to our times.
3. 1198-1500 — Baltic Crusades do not result in the extinction of Western Baltic peoples and languages.
4. 1521 — The Aztec Empire is able to successfully repel the Spaniards and then conquer them (Tlācatzōmātlālpan) instead of the other way around, so that other Native American civilizations also engage in the colonization of Europe.
5. Communism still established, but it is less popular than IOTL
   • Cause: Exile of Volodymyr Lenenko (known IOTL as Vladimir Lenin) as he could've started a socialist revolution in Yevraziya.
   • The main stronghold of communism ITTL is Gaul.
   • There are NO communist states ITTL as of 2024-2025.
6. The Inuit create their own state during the Middle Ages instead of being conquered by European settlers as hunter-gatherers, with the same thing going for the Wakashan (Kwakwaka'wakw).

Prehistory

• 65 million years ago — landhawks, landfinches, tongaloos, other dinosaurs, cristatocorns and large arambourgianids (OTL: azhdarchids) survive the K-Pg extinction event.
• c. 10000 BCE — Domestication of landhawks, specifically, common landhawks (Velociraptor mongoliensis).
• ~6000 BCE — Some Dené–Yeniseians migrate as west as East Europe.

Antiquity (4500 BCE-476 CE)

• c. 450 BCE — The domestication of temeenuud as mount animals began.
• ~1 BCE — The divergence of the Bessarabian languages from other Dené–Yeniseian languages began.
• 102-106 CE — The Roman Empire fails to conquer the Proto-Bessarabians.

Early Middle Ages (476-1000)

• 482 CE — Foundation of Kyiv, a city that is to be a major trade center from Byzantines to the Inuit.
• c. 500 CE — Domestication of hoopoes.
• 650 — The Khazar Khaganate was established.
• 734 — Khazar Khaganate collapses into Tabasaran Kingdom, Tsez Kingdom and Khazar Kingdom due to instability, these countries became Kyivan Rus's vassals in 1031.
• 853 — Establishment of Union of Lusatian city-states, England, France, Gaul and Union of German city-states (HRE).
• 882 — Kyivan Rus, the predecessor of Yevraziya, was established.
• 911 — The Mayan Empire was established even though the Mayan civilization existed millennia before that.
• 945 — Establishment of the Nenets Tadibyanate, the predecessor of Nenetsia.
• 988 — Buddhist Baptism of Rus happens, but Perunism(predecessor of Rodnovery) is practiced by a rural majority

High Middle Ages (1000-1350)

• 1002 — Establishment of Yotvingian Duchy and Ingrian Duchy, which are predecessors of Yotvingia and Ingria respectively.
• 1172 — Mayans start seafaring northward.
• 1173 — Mayan contact with Seminoles.
• 1206 — Genghis Khan established the Mongol Empire, which still exists today.
• 1207 — The Mayans reach nowadays Nunavut and contact with the Inuit.
• 1223 — Mongols are defeated in Battle of the Kalka River.
• 1235 — Buddhist Baptism of Inuit by Kyivan missionaries, establishment of Nunavut Kingdom
  • The Inuit were already able to travel to Europe at the time thanks to trophied Viking ships, however.
  • This Buddhistization event was very similar to the Buddhist Baptism of Kyivan Rus.
• 1256 — The Mongol Empire seizes Constantinople, once again, and conquers Byzantine Empire althogether.
• 1259 — The Mongol Empire still collapses, but keeps its core regions and survives to our times.
• 1317 — Mongols are the first to discover and colonize Australia naming it Khürekh Bolomjgüi Gazar (literally: Inaccessible Territory) and contact with local peoples there.
• 1325 — The Aztec Empire was established.

Raven is a sacred animal in Raven Worship as well, as is cattle in Hinduism

• 1352 — The oldest surviving document in the Bessarabian language is written.
• 1353 — Kwakwaka'wakw Empire is established
• 1354 — Discovery of Galdan Gazar (at the time of discovery: Züün Nutag (Eastern Land; OTL: North America) without establishing any colonies.
• 1391 — Navajo Empire is established.
• 1400 — Domestication of tigers.
• 1403 — Khomd Zagtaal names the newly discovered land "Galdan Gazar", after Galdan Khan, after the second Mongol voyage
• 1405 — Birth of prophet Raven (Kwak'wala: Ǥwa'wina).
• 1421 — Zheng He settles in the Hexialuo Peninsula (OTL: Baja California; now called Khejal Peninsula) and establishes a colony with the same name, he also confirms existence of Galdan Gazar
• 1434 — Movkhiin Ereenjargal establishes Galdan Uls
• 1455 — Death of prophet Raven and the subsequent establishment of Raven Worship that eventually spread across what is known IOTL as Canada.
  • Prophet Raven is spiritually alive according to Kwaxsistalla, the sacred book for Ravenists, and he is depicted as a raven in this book.
• 1465 — Establishment of Kazakh Khanate, also the predecessor of Yevraziya.
• 1476-1482 — Beothuk voyages to Europe; Discovery of Europe by Native Americans
• 1477 — The Nenets-Kyivan rivalry started.
• 1490 — Beginning of the Celticisation of English, with numerous loanwords from Celtic languages — predominantly Welsh, Gaulish, Irish, Scottish, Cornish, and Cumbrian — being adopted by the English.

While IOTL everybody hated Aztec, ITTL everybody hated Spain due to its raids on Gaul, England, Portugal and Leon.

• 1492:
  • The traveler Petro Davshanovich discovers Incaland and creates the first city named Sichneva Richka (OTL: Rio de Janeiro).
  • Coincidentally, Kwakwaka'wakw seafarer Kwatukw Alxagwis discovers Japan and Eastern Asia as whole with her crew. The first mention of Nivkh people by Native Americans is exactly in Kwatukw's voyage
• 1493-1495 — The Mongol-Chinese War began.
  • Result: Mongol Victory; Hexialuo Colony was conquered.
• 1500 — Unification of Lusatian city-states; Establishment of Lusatian Empire
• 1503 — The Navajo-Aztec Alliance was formed, and in 1510, Mayan Empire and Zapotec Kingdom joined the alliance.
• 1509 — Lusatia colonizes the west of Incaland (Caracas city IOTL).
• 1523 — Spain collapses; the start of Warring States period there.
  • 1527 — Portugal gets involved there.
    • 1563 — Portugal and collapsed Spain get conquered by Gaul, Aztec Empire and England.
      • 1563-1579 — Gallo-Anglo-Aztec War for Iberian Peninsula.
        • Result: the entire Iberian Peninsula is ruled by Aztecs (except for Galedoneland and Euskadi (Aztec protectorates)); the end of Tlācatzōmātlālpan.
• 1534 — Unification of Kyivan Rus and Kazakh Khanate; Establishment of Tartary.
• 1555:
  • Aztec Empire, along with Navajo Empire, Haudenosaunee, Powhatania, Tartary, Kwakwaka'wakw Empire, Nunavut Kingdom and Mayan Empire begins Tlācatzōmātlālpan (conquest of Spain).
• 1579 — Treaty of Tenochtitlan
  • Iberia becomes an Aztec colony as a result of this.
• 1603 — Unification of Sengoku Japan.
• 1607 — Rusynia is independent from Hungary.
• 1607-1610: Jamestown is founded by the English, but eventually gets destroyed by the Powhatans due to anti-colonist politics.
• 1610 — Silesia and Pomerania get independence from Lusatia.
• 1617 — Japan conquers Hokkaido, Sakhalin and Kuril Islands.
• 1644 — Mongol-Navajo war; The Mongol Empire fails to capture Tségháhoodzání, the capital of the Navajo Empire, but still ends up winning by expanding in OTL's California.
• 1645-1648 — Polish-Sudavlithuanian War
  • Result: Victory of Yotvingian-Lithuanian Commonwealth; Poland is conquered.
• 1646 — Shun Dynasty China survives because of Manjuurian Jurchens being assimilated by Mongols.
• 1647 — The Nivkh Hetmanate was established with Lagev Amats being the first hetman.
• 1662 — Dodo birds didn't go extinct.
• 1677 — Tartary reaches Pacific coastlines (Modern day Volodymyrsk-Skhidnyi (OTL: Vladivostok))
• 1681 — Tsez and Tabasaran Republics merge into the Dagestani Empire.
• 1699 — Kalmyk Republic gets independent from Khazar Republic.

• 1651 — Navajos settle in Gaul, thus beginning the Scramble for Western Europe.
• 1652 — Powhatan colonization of Ireland, but Powhatans will be displaced by Mongols in 1702.

  • 1661-1668 — The Inuit-Swedish War began.
    • Result: Treaty of Qaqortoq (Lapland was given to Nunavut)

• 1702-1703 — The Powhatan colonization of Wales and Cornwall began after loss of colonies in Ireland.
• 1709-1744 — The Kwakwaka'wakw-German War began.
  • Result: Kwakwaka'wakw Victory; Kwakwaka'wakw Empire takes Aachen and Bremen and invades Denmark.
• 1744-1745 — The Kwakwaka'wakw-Danish War began.
  • Result: Kwakwaka'wakw Empire conquers Denmark.
• 1750-1760 — China and Thailand establish Xiangliao City and Dubrovnik Colony, respectively

Colonization of Mezia and Incaland

• 1519 — Spaniards start to conquer Aztec and Mayan Empires.
• 1520 — The Kwakwaka'wakw Empire created its first colonies in the land that is known IOTL as Panama.
• 1521 — Spaniards failed to capture Tenochtitlan and Chichen-Itza, the capitals of the Aztec and Mayan empires, respectively.
• 1522-1523 — The Mongol-Kwakwaka'wakw War began.
  • Result: Kwakwaka'wakw Empire loses its colonies in Mezia, but doesn't lose colonies at all by moving from OTL Panama to OTL Cape Verde
• 1533 — The Mongol-Mapuche War, also known as War for Patagonia, began.
  • Result: Mongol Patagonia moves westward and northward leaving Wallmapu in Andes.
• 1544 — Nunavut colonized Pikuallaktuva (OTL: Tierra del Fuego).
• 1599 — Tartary, Nunavut, Thai Empire, Sudovian-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Lusatian Empire and Mongol Empire colonize Mezia and Incaland, but not entirely.

• October 5, 1705 — Thai arrival to Australia and establishment of penal colonies there; Mongols rename Khürekh Bolomjgüi Gazar "Negeen Ikh Aral" (literally: One Giant Island).
• 1720 — Yotvingian-Lithuanian Empire settles in modern-day Sindh.
• August 24, 1722 — Tartary and Japan unite; establishment of Yevraziya.

• July 28, 1900 — Rhaetia-Hungary, one of the Central Powers members (other members are German Empire, Italy, Galatia and Bulgaria) invaded Rusynia, thus causing the First Great War.
• August 4, 1900 — The Entente alliance was formed, and its members are Mongol Empire, Yevraziya, GFR, Conseil Union and China.

• 1919-1923 — The Mayan-Zapotec War began.
  • Reason: Territorial disputes
  • Result: Peace Treaty between both sides
• 1920s — African elephants gained mass popularity in Aztec Empire as both war and work animals.
  • In the 1960s, African elephants became popular outside the Aztec Empire as war and work animals.
• January 7, 1921 — Giant panda hunting is banned in Shun dynasty China from this day forwards, ensuring their survival into the present day.
• July 18, 1925 — Mójo Wójowanje is published; it becomes the main book for Nazi Lusatia.
• July 3, 1930 — Establishment of Nenetsia; total end of European feudalism.

Second Great War (1939-1945)

• September 1, 1939 — Lusatian invasion of Germany; Start of Second Great War
  • Results: September 8, 1939 — Germany is occupied by Nazi Lusatia; Lusatia invades East Lechia (Poland, Kashubia, Polabia, Silesia); Mongol Empire intervenes in side of Allies.
• October 2, 1939 — Incan invasion of Wallmapu
  • Result: October 24, 1939 — Wallmapu is occupied by Nazi Incas
• January 10, 1940 — The Khitan Rebellion began.
• 1941 — Trahedia (OTL: Holocaust) starts.
• June 22, 1941 — Nazi Lusatian invasion of Yevraziya and Mongol Empire (Operation Barbarossa and Operation Counter-Khan)
• July 5, 1941 — Yevraziyan evacuation of Jews to prevent bigger number of victims of Trahedia

• January 1, 2003 — Uyghuristan and Tibet become independent from Shun dynasty China
• February 29, 2004 — A Mongol movie named Kangaroo Khan was released in cinemas
• July 4, 2008 — Adygea becomes independent from Tsezia
• October 11, 2009 - Vimeo purchases Vine and YouTube, merging them into its platform.
• April 15, 2011 — Richka (OTL: Rio; nothing changed besides title) was released in cinemas.
• May 3, 2011 — Dereck the Ground Sloth is born in Odesa Zoo
• July 12, 2011 — Levantsoft acquired PopCap.
• July 2, 2014 — Samogitia becomes independent from Lithuania.

• Basque-Icelandic pidgin (Basque: Euskoislandiera, Icelandic: Esqut-Qikiqðaalliþut inusiggnit) still exists ITTL.
• Some extinct languages IOTL are still used today or at least survive longer ITTL and sometimes vice versa.
• Music as a whole is slightly different, leading to new and unique genres and sounds that are rare or nonexistent IOTL.
  • Mongol music is predominant ITTL, especially "Altai praise songs".
• Ground sloths, marsupial lions, giant wombats (OTL: Diprotodon), Galdan Gazriin lemurs (OTL: Ekgmowechashala), tutiqushis (OTL: Carolina parakeets), land crocodiles (OTL: Quinkana), temeenuud (OTL: Camelops), woolly rhinos, saber-toothed tigers, European giraffes (OTL: Bohlinia), dodos and even some pterosaurs and non-avian dinosaurs are all still extant ITTL.
