The Paris Commune Uprising was a revolt that occurred in Paris three years after the Franco-Prussian War. After the initial establishment of the Paris Commune in March 1876, the Third Republic under Patrice de MacMahon decided to crush the Communist Government and did so during La Semaine Sanglante where the Paris Commune was brutally suppressed.
