The Republic of Pernambuco (in Portuguese: República de Pernambuco) is a sovereign state, established in 1827 after the Great Wars of Independence and the splitting of Kingdom of Brazil. It is located in the Northeast Region of South America, and is the closest to Africa and Europe.
