Persia, officially the Persian Empire, is a Sovereign nation in Asia. Persia is bordered by Arabia to the south, Syria-Levant and Byzantium to the west, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Bukhara, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia to the north, and Xinjiang, and India to the east.
History[]
The modern Persian Empire was founded after the Great Middle Eastern War, a short but costly conflict that took place in the Middle East from 1923 to 1926. After the joint Persian, Arabian, and Levant victory, the three set out to divide the Middle East. The Treaty of Tehran was put to action, and the Middle East was divided.
After the war, the Qajar Dynasty of Persia was overthrown, and the Captain of the Cossack Brigade became the new Shah. He declared the Persian Empire, changed the Flag, and started a series of reforms. Due to the Vastness of the Persian Empire, Shahanshah, which meant "Emperor", arranged the Empire as it had under the Achaemenid Empire, dividing the Empire into 58 Satrapies, just as King Darius did. The Capital was moved to the newly constructed city of New Ctesiphon, although the Parliament stayed in Tehran.
Persia sided with the First World during the Cold War. Although many radical factions tried to take control of the nation, the Secret Police tracked the groups down and shut them down. When the Cold War ended, the Bukharan Soviet Republic was annexed by Persia, but a few years later, Russia demanded Bukhara be given independence. Persia agreed, and reinstated the Khanate of Bukhara.
Today[]
Today, Persia is a thriving Giant who's economy is at an all-time high. Persia's main industry is Oil, i which they sell over 100,000 gallons of oil to America every year. Today, the Empire stretches from Ankara to Karachi, covering almost all of the Middle East. Persia is a First-World Nation, with developed cities that include New Ctesiphon, Tehran, Isfahan, and Baghdad. Many other cities such as Ankara, Mosul, and Kabul are developing quickly. Safety in the Persian Empire is very secure, with only 20 kidnappings recorded in 2019. Due to the local police system in almost every town and city, the entire Empire is very Protected.
Politics[]
The Persian Empire is a Constitutional Monarchy with the Shahanshah the Head of State. Although there is a Prime Minister, the Prime Minister does not have the ability to exert their powers. As such, the Monarch is the de-facto Head of Government too. The current Shahanshah is Reza Shah II Pahlavi, a 3rd Generation Descendant of Reza Shah I.
