RNDr. Petr Nečas (born November 19, 1964 Uherske Hradiste ) is a Czech politician. A member of the Civic Democratic Party, he served as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labour and Social Affairs between September 4, 2006 and May 8, 2009 in the cabinet of Mirek Topolánek.
On April 1, 2010, he succeeded Topolánek as the party's campaign leader for the Czech legislative election in 2010. On April 13, he officialy took over the post as chairman of the Civic Democratic Party, and will remain so until the Party's next national congress, when the party will elect the new party chairman.
