The Republic of the Philippines (Filipino: Republika ng Pilipinas) is a country located in Southeast Asia. It was one of the few American allies not bombed on December 21, 2012.
History[]
After the Apocalypse[]
22 December - The Philippine National Police and the Armed Forces of the Philippines was almost overwhelmed by their efforts to contain the numerous protests and near-riots following the aftermath of the apocalypse. It took a personal message from both President Aquino and Vice President Binay on the country's three major networks to contain the chaos, but tensions still remain high among the people. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management began securing food and water supplies throughout the country.
25 December - The first wave of refugees arrives on the islands.
26 December - Tropical Storm Quinta (international name Wukong) made landfall on the Visayas islands, affecting many areas still recovering from the onslaught of Typhoon Pablo (international name Bopha), which struck the general area on 3 December. The combined effects of both typhoons cost the country over PHP 42 billion.
29 December - Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Chairman Sixto Brillantes confirmed that the 2013 general elections, scheduled to be held on May of that year, will continue despite the apocalypse that struck the world on December 21.
