Piercinald Hawthorne (November 27, 1944- July 1, 2015) was an American Senator from Wyoming serving from 1979 until 1991 and is known for his voter-buying and business alignment.
Pierce Hawthorne was born on November 27, 1944 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Cornelius Hawthorne and was groomed to be a politician from early age. He graduated with a law degree from Harvard. He served 3 years in the Vietnam War and won the Purple Heart. He became a Vice President of Hawthorne Wipes until 1978 when he was unexpectedly nominated as a Republican for Senate despite not running and it became a National scandal when he was elected and it’s widely believed that his father bought the election. He used his term to improve business tax breaks. He won another upset victory in 1984 but lost his bid for a third term in 1990.
He was married 7 times but had one biological child, Jeffrey Hawthorne (1970).
