Poland is a nation in Eastern Europe.
History[]
Poland broke away from Russia in 1919 after a plebiscite on independence. Instability within the republic lead to a Coup by Army Marshal Józef Pilsudski in 1926. While he was not its creator, the marshal is credited as the propagator of Prometheism, a vaguely defined political doctrine promoting nationalism abroad.
Thanks to diplomatic efforts and in some cases, manipulation of opinion abroad, Poland has managed to create one of Pilsudski's dreams, that of a unified confederation (the Intermarum) stretching from one sea to another as a defence against both Russia and Germany.
Internal security is provided by the Citizen's Guard.
